If you're signed in, the quickest way is to open account.microsoft.com/privacy in Safari, go to Search history and tap Clear all search history. That clears the Bing app and every other device using your account. If you search while signed out, clear the history inside the app or browser you used.
On an iPhone, Bing searches can be saved in three places: your Microsoft account, the Microsoft Bing app, and whichever browser you used. Here's how to clear each.
In the Microsoft Bing app
- Open the Microsoft Bing app.
- Tap your profile picture or the menu to open Settings.
- Open the Privacy (or History) section.
- Tap the option to clear your search history and confirm.
Microsoft moves these options around between app versions, so the labels may be slightly different. If you're signed in to the app, clearing from the privacy dashboard (below) is the most reliable route.
In Safari or Chrome (bing.com)
- Open bing.com/profile/history.
- Signed in: tap Clear all and confirm on the privacy dashboard.
- Signed out: tap Clear all to remove the searches saved in this browser.
To also remove the pages from Safari's own history: Settings app > Apps > Safari > Clear History and Website Data (on older iOS versions, Safari is directly under Settings). In Chrome, tap … > Delete browsing data.
In Microsoft Edge for iPhone

- Open account.microsoft.com/privacy and sign in.
- Go to Search history.
- Tap Clear all search history and confirm.
Copilot app conversations
The Copilot app keeps its own chat list. Swipe or long-press a chat to delete it, or remove all of it from the privacy dashboard. See delete Copilot chat history.
Should you clear cookies too?
Clearing cookies signs you out of websites and resets site preferences. It also wipes the signed-out Bing search list on that browser, since that list is tied to a cookie. You don't need to clear cookies to delete history saved to your Microsoft account.
