Signed in with a Microsoft account? Open account.microsoft.com/privacy in your browser, go to Search history and tap Clear all search history. Otherwise, clear the history in the app or browser you searched with: in the Bing app it's under Settings > Privacy.
On Android you might search Bing from the Microsoft Bing app, from Chrome or Edge, or from a Bing search widget. Each keeps its own copy, and your Microsoft account keeps another if you were signed in.
In the Microsoft Bing app
- Open the Microsoft Bing app.
- Tap your profile picture (or the menu) and open Settings.
- Tap Privacy (on some versions, Privacy and security).
- Tap the option to clear search history and confirm.
Labels change between app versions. If you can't find the option, use the privacy dashboard method below, which works for any version when you're signed in.
If the app misbehaves after clearing, you can reset it completely: Android Settings > Apps > Microsoft Bing > Storage > Clear storage. That signs you out of the app and removes everything it saved on the phone.
In Chrome
- Visit bing.com/profile/history and tap Clear all.
- To clear Chrome's own copy: tap ⋮ > Delete browsing data (or History > Delete browsing data), choose a time range, tick Browsing history, and tap Delete data.
In Microsoft Edge
Tap … > Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data. Then clear your searches at bing.com/profile/history.
From your Microsoft account (every device)
- Open account.microsoft.com/privacy and sign in.
- Go to Search history.
- Tap Clear all search history and confirm.
Samsung Internet and other browsers
Every Android browser has its own clear-data option, usually under Settings > Privacy or History. Clearing it removes the browser's list of pages; your Bing searches still need clearing on bing.com/profile/history or the privacy dashboard.
