Most of the time, Bing history looks empty because you're signed out or signed in with a different Microsoft account, or because history is switched off. Check the account in the top-right corner of bing.com and the history setting on the history page first.
1. You're not signed in (or it's another account)
Searches saved to your account only appear when you're signed in with that same account. Check the name or picture at the top right of bing.com. People with a personal and a work account often end up looking at the wrong one.
2. History is turned off
On bing.com/profile/history, look at Change history settings / Show new searches here. If it's off, new searches aren't shown. Switch it on.
3. You searched in a private window
InPrivate, Incognito and Private Browsing windows start signed out and forget everything when closed, so those searches never reach your history.
4. Cookies or JavaScript are blocked
The history page needs cookies and JavaScript for bing.com. Strict tracking protection, cookie blockers and some ad blockers stop it from loading or saving. Allow bing.com and reload.
5. You cleared cookies while signed out
Signed-out history is tied to a Bing cookie. Clearing cookies (or a cleaner app doing it for you) empties that list.
6. The search didn't go through Bing
- Your browser might use a different search engine in the address bar.
- Searches inside apps such as Word don't appear on the history page (Microsoft says so on the page itself).

7. It's a work or school account
Organizations can limit what's saved for managed accounts. Ask your IT admin, or use your personal account for personal searches.
8. It hasn't synced yet
New searches normally show up quickly, but occasionally take a little while to reach the page on another device. Refresh after a few minutes.

Try another browser while signed in. If the list appears there, the problem is your first browser's settings or extensions. If it's empty everywhere, the Microsoft privacy dashboard is the definitive record of what your account holds.
